“Salt and Sea was a camp like no other. It was our first summer day camp after Covid, and it could not have been a more perfect experience for Kiran. After the very first day at pick up, Kiran asked if he could do this for 7 more weeks! I’ve never heard him say that about anything he has done. The combination of surfing, and learning about the ocean for half of the day, and immersive art studio time for the other half, was so unique and exactly what Kiran needed after an unprecedented year. I have never been able to find a camp that combined mind and body so seamlessly.
Jared and Rafael absolutely pulled the best out of the kids and had them super excited to come learn and participate each day. Kiran gained confidence in his surfing and had so much fun doing it. He was introduced to different art mediums, and how to create art using them. I was sad it was only 1 week. We can’t wait to sign up next year again. Salt and Sea was an absolute cool unique experience for Kiran and I am so happy we signed up for it! ”

This last year has been extremely difficult to say the least, and know one feels that more our kids. SALT & SEA is just what our son needed; to get out and experience our beautiful beaches and ocean, to connect with kids and mentors in a casual but intentional way, and to have access to Resin gallery as a creative outlet was beyond good for him.
At the beach he learned so much more than how to surf. At the gallery he was given access to ALL forms of art mediums- spray paint, drawing, painting, photography, clay modeling- you name it they had access to it.
He got to spend the day getting outside connecting with our beautiful sea and then had time at Resin Gallery discovering his creativity, all the while being surrounded by other kids and mentors intentionally spending time with our son. It was an invaluable experience! He came home each day so happy, renewed, excited, curious, and dying to go back the next day. This “camp” is so much more than the typical beach camp! In our opinion it’s filling a void for our kids that’s so needed, especially at this moment in time. Soul lifting and esteem building are just two words that come to mind when I reflect on the week.

“My son has participated in ALL the sports and camps and activities the South Bay has to offer. This was an experience that was SET APART. An experience for my son that filled his heart with passion and a desire to explore what the ocean has to offer and a creative side in him that I saw come to life.
In a scheduled and hurried world where there are pressures to perform, Salt and Sea gave my son a space to be present and live out simple, beautiful moments. It was very clear the staff poured their whole heart into the camp and wanted to provide an experience that would have a true impact on the children.
